Thor 618

My reviews of the main line of Thor has been pretty popular so far, so here is Thor 618.  SPOILERS. It starts off with Odin in Limbo fighting and dieing every day. He feels that its better than Valhalla its self. It then moves to creatures of the nine worlds moving across Midgard and heading for Asgard. These creatures are all coming to Asgard to seek safety as their worlds have been taken over. Balder who continues to feel down says that they can offer no help, but Thor steps in before it gets out of hand. It then flashes to Iron Man and Eric and talk Eric's bad luck with the Asgardians and that Thor maybe his only hope to get his message across. The creatures of the nine worlds explain their predicament to Thor and he says he will defend them. To do so Thor hits Odin's casket bring his farther back.


This may sound like a broke record, but I'm not a big fan of the art in this. The coloring was fine, but not the drawing. I also found that the story in this issues was a bit lacking, although that could be because it was a step up issue for better things to come. The on plus side there was some good Odin time in it and much of it was done without a lot of words. I like it when a comic can clearly set a scene without a lot of words ( example parts of Watchmen). I also like the little bit of comedy with Iron Man and Eric. Over all not the best that Thor has to offer.
